Refunds & Cancellations 

I acknowledge that refunds, part or whole, will not be given after registration. Transfers will be facilitated up to 10 days prior to the event, an administration charge of £5 will apply.

Clothing in particular is made specifically to order so refunds are not possible.

Personal statements 

I know of no reason why I should not participate in this cold-water event.

I agree that the organisers and associated supporters will not be held liable for my personal safety during training or race events and that I am fully responsible for my actions and insurances during these activities and my own training. I hereby agree to assume and accept all risks of injury.

I confirm that I will not take part in any event under the influence of alcohol or drugs. 

I consent to my photograph and video image being taken and used from this activity and agree to it being be reproduced on social media pages or associated websites.

I agree to exit the water at any time if instructed to do so by the lifeguards or staff. I will abide by decisions made by lifeguards and staff.

I agree that my personal data may be stored by PHISH and used to contact me with matters in regard to events. As part of GDPR we will delete all data once it is no longer necessary for the events. I understand that my personal data will not be shared to any third parties.

Medical 

I confirm that I am fit and healthy and have no known medical condition that has not been discussed with my doctor, (if necessary) that would preclude me from undertaking this activity. I therefore declare that I am physically sound and not knowingly suffering from any form of condition/illness that would be detrimental to me taking part in this cold-water swimming event.

I understand that I should only partake in this activity at a level to which I am safe and able. I agree that I will stop activity immediately and seek medical guidance if I become unwell in anyway. I understand that cold-water swimming carries inherent risk and that I have disclosed above any health concerns, illness, injury or allergies which in the case of an emergency may be given to medical professionals.

Safety

I understand that all outdoor activities including cold water swimming carry risks. I am aware of and accept these risks and will be responsible for my own action and involvement. I will ensure I declare all relevant information to the staff and will follow their directions and instruction at all times. I am aware that it is recommend that I purchase my own personal health and liability insurance at my own expense.

I agree that I am taking part entirely at my own risk and in the unlikely event of injury, accident, loss or damage suffered, regardless of however it may be caused, no responsibility whatsoever shall be attached to the organizers, sponsors, or any persons involved in the organization of this event.

I agree to respectfully abide by the decisions of the event director and event safety team at all times.

Covid 19

I agree that my personal details will be recorded and maintained under GDPR regulations and only made available to government under a legal request for track and trace in association with covid 19 requirements. 

Covid 19 Management Plan

The purpose of our Covid 19 Safety Management Plan for 2022 is to make sure we can host safe event for participants, for our volunteers, our staff and for our communities.

The following is a general plan which allows for such measures.

All participants, staff and volunteers must follow government regulations regarding keeping a safe distance and may choose to wear face masks at the event.

Nobody wants to spread or contract the virus so we ask you to adhere to this plan.

All we are asking you to do is:

  • Do a COVID-19 lateral flow test either on the day or the day before the event and bring a photo of the result to show at the registration desk on the day.
  • Self-monitor for any COVID symptoms and stay away they are present.Maintain social distancing.
  • Wear a mask or face covering if you wish.
  • Wash or sterilise your hands whilst on site.

We simply ask these few things in order that we can preserve your safety, the safety of others and the integrity of the event. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to ask.

Our Covid 19 Event Guidance

Before traveling to the event destination – Participants, staff and volunteers

If someone close to you or someone you have spent time with recently is sick. Do NOT travel.

If you in the last 14 days prior to the race have been sick or if you have symptoms of Covid-19 Do NOT travel no matter how mild they are.

At the event

Avoid physical contact with other people.

Keep a safe distance from other people at all times.

If you feel any symptoms of being sick at all, self- isolate immediately.

At registration

If you feel any symptoms of being sick at all, do not register, self- isolate.

All staff and volunteers working on registration may wear masks & gloves.

Hand disinfectant is available at the registration.

After you have registered, enter the Lido and make yourselves at home on the terraces

Toilets

Facilities are available during, pre, post event and are provided on site

There is a cleaning protocol in place please respect this.

Hand washing and sanitising disinfectant is available.

Other Lido users

Parliament Hill Lido prides itself on being open 365 days a year.

The closest lane to the changing rooms will be available for Lido swimmers to use.

That lane is also available to PHISH participants should they feel the need to warm up prior, or indeed cool down after their event.

Sauna and Hot Tub

The Sauna and Hot Tub is exclusive to PHISH Contestants for the whole day.

That’s not new but this year both facilities will be clearly signed.

Volunteers will ask your name and to confirm which event you are swimming in.

Please co-operate with our lovely volunteers. Their job is to keep you safe as only PHISH Participants will have been asked to prove they have tested negative.

During the Event

Avoid physical contact and keep safe distance from other people

If you feel any symptoms of being sick at all, self-isolate immediately.

Post Event

If you become sick within a week from the event lease inform us via our Covid 19 Officer at C19@phish.org.uk.
